Posted by on Sunday, 28 July, 2013

This week’s blogging prompt is the State of Wisconsin. Blog about an ancestor or your families connection to Wisconsin. If you don’t have any connections to Wisconsin, find a Wisconsin resource useful for genealogy research to highlight and write about. This week’s prompt runs from 8/28/2013 – 9/3/2013. If you choose to follow along, I would appreciate a mention to the Hidden Genealogy Nuggets website.

My connection to Wisconsin is a fairly recent connection. William Clifford Sanders was born in 1937 in Waterbury, Connecticut. He moved to Wisconsin after marrying his wife Rheba Kay Nobles in 1963 in Alabama. This branch of my Sanders family moved to Wisconsin in about 1965.

I have only a very small connection to the state of Iowa to talk about. That connection is Helen Logan. She is a first cousin twice removed from my children. She was born on March 20 1937 in Scranton, Arkansas. She died on March 31, 2004 in Oakland, California. Her body was brought back to Arkansas and is buried in Poole Cemetery in Scranton. Her social security card was issued in Iowa. I do not have any further details about the time she spent in Iowa.

My family connection to Texas is a fairly recent connection. Leslie and I are second cousins once removed. She was born in Texas. We are both descendants of Joseph Charles Sanders and Mary Agnes Fraher. She she is likely to be still living, I’ve chosen only to provide her first name and no other details. Hopefully, I will be able to reconnect with her and that line soon. Perhaps she will happen across this blog and reach out to me.
