This week’s blogging prompt is the State of New Mexico. Blog about an ancestor or your families connection to New Mexico. If you don’t have any connections to New Mexico, find a New Mexico resource useful for genealogy research to highlight and write about. This week’s prompt runs from 11/24/2013 – 11/30/2013. If you choose to follow along, I would appreciate a mention to the Hidden Genealogy Nuggets website.

I do not have any family connections to New Mexico, so I will just highlight a genealogy resource for New Mexico.

I did not find any one great on-line resource which contains records useful for New Mexico Genealogy Resource. However, the New Mexico GenWeb is still a great site to explore. From here, you could navigate to some of the county specific GenWeb Pages. These county pages often contain transcribed records of births, marriages and deaths. For example, the Catron County GenWeb has transcribed marriage records as well of other types of records.

If you have family connections to New Mexico, be sure to check out this site and the ones listed below.
