Hi Grant,

What unit was your ancestor from? Mine was from what was left of the 10th Connecticut Infantry. I look forward to reading the letters on your blog.

Regards, Jim

You mentioned an ancestor who died after being injured in the Battle at Darbytown Road. I had an ancestor who died there. i believe he was only 15. Those who died there almost made it through the War. I would think our ancestors probably knew each other. I am posting the letters of his father on my blog. In one of the future letters I will be posting a letter from another son tell his father of Dan Sherwood's death. What was the name of your ancestor who died after being injured at Darbytown.

Regards,

Grant Davis
