Unfortunately, most of these records are not cataloged or available online. Also many of these school registers did not survive until today. There are a number of places I would check for the town you're looking for;

1) The local historical society (Seymour, Connecticut has registers from 1891 - 1956)
2) The local library (Newtown, Connecticut [Booth Library] has registers from the 1890s in their vault [some library staff may not know about them but they are there])
3) The local town historian
4) The local genealogy club or society
5) The local town clerks office
6) The state archives
7) The state library
